LayarHijau – On July 30, 2025, rumors about a romantic relationship between Liu Yuning and Zhu Xudan sparked heated discussion on Chinese social media. A netizen claimed that Zhu Xudan had fallen in love with her male co-star during the filming of their drama together, indirectly pointing to Liu Yuning. The drama in question is A Dream Within A Dream (书梦), which the two stars filmed in 2024.
According to the post, the two actors allegedly started dating during production and had been in a relationship for two years. However, the netizen offered no concrete evidence—no photos, screenshots, or verifiable sources. The post was filled with emotional language, including phrases like “feeling deceived” and “disgusted by lies,” which led many others to question its credibility. Shortly after facing backlash, the user deleted their account.

On the morning of July 30, both Liu Yuning and Zhu Xudan took to social media to deny the rumors. Zhu Xudan wrote, “We’re just good friends. Don’t spread nonsense.” Liu Yuning echoed the sentiment, saying, “We’re all good friends. Stop stirring things up.”
In A Dream Within A Dream, Liu Yuning plays Nan Heng, a mysterious and charismatic lead character who exists within a fictional literary world. Zhu Xudan plays Su Ruyi, a noblewoman who plays a key role in the plot and shares many important scenes with Nan Heng.
Some netizens also pointed out that Zhu Xudan had once followed the official account of Liu Yuning’s studio on social media. While this may have been accidental, it still sparked speculation among fans about a possible off-screen connection. There were also unverified claims that Zhu Xudan’s family had blocked the fan who originally leaked the rumor, though no official statement has been made regarding this.
As of now, neither actor’s management has issued any further response.
