LayarHijau.com – On June 18, 2025, the hashtag 白敬亭宋轶同款茶几地毯 (“Bai Jingting and Song Yi’s matching coffee table and rug”) shot up the Weibo trending list. The trend was sparked by a photo posted by Bai Jingting on June 17, showing him sitting casually on a sofa wearing glasses. But what caught fans’ attention wasn’t his outfit—it was the furniture in the background.
Sharp-eyed netizens quickly pointed out that the glass table and gray rug seen in Bai Jingting’s post were identical to those seen in one of Song Yi’s previous social media posts. Some even observed that the sofa folds looked eerily similar. The post quickly stirred up online speculation:

“Their furniture is too synced up. Even his caption feels like a clue. Are they… back together?”
“They’ve been together for ages. Isn’t it basically public knowledge by now?”
“Same-style sugar like this is too sweet! Table, carpet, background—everything’s a match!”
“I can’t handle this level of sweetness. Bai Jingting and Song Yi, just make it official already!”
Although the post itself included no clear hints, the identical furniture set off a wave of renewed speculation about Bai Jingting and Song Yi’s romantic history—fueling theories that the two may still be involved, or at least on friendly terms.
A Look Back: From Destined to Real-Life Dating Rumors
Bai Jingting and Song Yi’s chemistry first made waves when they starred together in the historical drama Destined in mid-2022. Their convincing on-screen romance sparked rumors of a real-life relationship. Between late 2022 and early 2023, the pair were often spotted wearing similar outfits and allegedly cohabiting. Reports even claimed Bai Jingting had introduced Song Yi to his parents.
By November 11, 2022, a gossip outlet released a video showing them together off-set, further strengthening the dating speculation. Yet, throughout 2023, both remained silent and kept any relationship strictly private.
By mid-2024, rumors emerged that they had quietly broken up, citing personality differences and work conflicts.
Enter Zhang Ruonan
In early 2025, Bai Jingting found himself in another swirl of rumors—this time with actress Zhang Ruonan, his co-star in the hit drama The First Frost. Their strong on-screen dynamic, coupled with matching social media posts and photo backgrounds, led many fans to believe they had grown close off-set.
On June 15, 2025, director Qu Youning stirred the pot even more during a fan event, referencing their chemistry with playful comments. He even video-called Zhang Ruonan and read a fan note saying, “Let this ship be real,” to which she laughed and replied, “What are you showing me?”
Qu’s statement that he would only direct the film version of The First Frost if Bai Jingting and Zhang Ruonan returned as leads further fueled the rumors of a budding off-screen connection.
CP Wars and Solo Fans Clash
All of this didn’t just generate buzz—it divided fandoms. Supporters of the original Bai Jingting–Song Yi ship saw Zhang Ruonan as an intruder, while fans of the new “Bainan” couple (Bai Jingting and Zhang Ruonan) argued the two were a better match. Meanwhile, solo fans of all three actors expressed frustration at constantly being dragged into love triangle gossip.
Observers have also pointed out how all three stars post photos that seem to feature similar outfits, backgrounds, or props—adding more fuel to an already chaotic rumor mill.
No Official Statements Yet
Despite the flurry of matching visuals and fan theories, none of the three involved—Bai Jingting, Song Yi, or Zhang Ruonan—have made official statements about their relationships. The latest “matching table and rug” post also remains unaddressed.
Could this be a subtle signal that Bai Jingting and Song Yi are still together? Or just a coincidence? Or—as some fans suspect—do they still live under the same roof?
The answer remains unclear. But one thing is certain: when top celebrities post photos with potential romantic clues, fans will always be ready to decode the mystery.
