The speculation gained traction following a pointed remark from Wang Yuwen’s close friend, Mi Chenchen (米晨晨), during a promotional event for Wang’s latest drama. When a netizen commented, “Wang isn’t single, so how can fans support her on-screen pairing?” Mi responded decisively: “No! I can assure you—she’s absolutely single.” The statement, reported by Sina Entertainment, has fueled conjecture that Wang and Yang Le’s rumored relationship may have come to an end.
Wang’s new project, Such a Good Love, premiered on April 2, 2025, on Tencent Video and WeTV. The 24-episode series, with each installment running 45 minutes, centers on Zhou Shui (Wang Anyu), an ambitious young man, and Dai Daji (Wang Yuwen), an independent woman, as they navigate love and personal aspirations in a modern setting. The drama’s exploration of contemporary relationships has already drawn significant attention, now amplified by the off-screen buzz.
Though Wang Yuwen and Yang Le—also known as Yang Jue—never publicly confirmed their relationship, the pair was frequently spotted together between 2021 and 2023. In 2021, paparazzi photos of them holding hands and dining out sparked a flurry of online interest. By 2023, however, fans noted a marked absence of joint appearances, laying the groundwork for breakup rumors. Mi Chenchen’s recent comment has only intensified the conversation, though neither Wang nor Yang Le has issued an official statement on their relationship status.
Online reactions have been varied. Supporters of Wang’s new drama have embraced the news, suggesting it paves the way for unencumbered enthusiasm for her on-screen chemistry. “It frees up the narrative for fans,” one commenter noted. Skeptics, however, question Mi’s authority to confirm such personal details, with one user cautioning, “Friends aren’t always privy to the full picture.” Others expressed nostalgia for the couple’s past moments, with a fan lamenting, “They seemed so happy together last year—age gaps can be challenging.” A contingent of netizens, meanwhile, has called for restraint, urging, “Let’s focus on their work, not their private lives.”
Analysts have speculated that Mi Chenchen’s assertion of Wang’s single status could be a strategic move to heighten interest in Such a Good Love. Additionally, the 10-year age difference between Wang and Yang Le has resurfaced as a topic of debate, with some pointing to societal expectations as a potential strain on their rumored romance.
As of now, the breakup remains unverified, with Mi Chenchen’s comment serving as the primary catalyst for the current wave of attention. The polarized responses—from eager fans to advocates for privacy—underscore the broader tension surrounding celebrity personal narratives. Industry observers and followers alike agree on one point: “Official confirmation is needed before drawing conclusions.” Neither Wang Yuwen nor Yang Le’s representatives have responded to inquiries at press time.
