The Gundam Double X figure uses the METAL ROBOT format, featuring die-cast metal parts in the joints. BANDAI SPIRITS has also used a combination of premium finishing techniques to give the figure a more realistic metallic appearance.
The figure incorporates plating, color-shifting foil, as well as pearl and metallic paint finishes. These details are designed to enhance the premium look of the Gundam Double X while bringing out the distinctive design of the mobile suit.
One of the figure’s biggest highlights is its iconic Twin Satellite Cannon. The reflectors, energy radiators, and Satellite Cannons can all be deployed without requiring replacement parts, allowing collectors to recreate the mobile suit’s signature configuration directly from the figure.
The Gundam Double X also comes with its DX Buster Rifle and Defense Plate. Two Hyper Beam Sword effect parts are included as well, giving collectors additional options for recreating dynamic battle poses.
The METAL ROBOT Gundam Double X is scheduled to begin shipping in February 2027. With a price of 24,200 yen, or approximately $153, the figure is positioned as a premium collectible for Gundam fans and collectors, particularly those who have a soft spot for Mobile Suit Gundam X.
Pre-orders will open through Premium Bandai on September 4, 2026, at 4 p.m. JST, with shipments scheduled to begin in February 2027.
