LayarHijau – A wave of joy has swept through the home of Sulik Rahayu (29), a homemaker and elementary school teacher living in Dusun Mandiku, Jember, East Java. She was recently announced as the lucky winner of a brand-new Honda Brio through the “WeTV Bagi-Bagi Mobil” (WeTV Car Giveaway) program, a collaborative initiative between Telkomsel and WeTV.
The prize was handed over directly at Sulik’s home in Jember on March 7, 2026. The moment became an emotional celebration for the winner and also highlighted the companies’ effort to bring appreciation and rewards to digital entertainment users across Indonesia, including those living outside major cities.
The “WeTV Bagi-Bagi Mobil” (WeTV Car Giveaway) program is part of a strategic partnership between Telkomsel and WeTV aimed at strengthening the digital entertainment ecosystem while providing additional benefits for loyal customers. Through the integration of MyTelkomsel data packages with premium WeTV VIP content, users have the opportunity to enjoy streaming entertainment and participate in special promotions, including the chance to win a car.
Sulik is known as a dedicated young mother who balances her daily life between raising two children and teaching at an elementary school. In her spare time, she often enjoys watching entertainment programs, including WeTV Originals and Chinese dramas available on the platform.
For Sulik, winning the car is more than just a stroke of luck. It also offers a practical solution for her daily mobility needs.
“I am very grateful for this prize. This car will greatly help my mobility, especially for traveling the 56 km distance from my parents’ house, which has always been quite challenging,” Sulik said emotionally as she received the car keys during the symbolic handover ceremony.
She also shared that the upcoming Eid homecoming trip will now feel much safer and more comfortable for her and her children, without having to worry about unpredictable weather during the journey.
The ceremonial handover was conducted by Agung Paty Lupinto, Manager Household Consumer Branch Jember at Telkomsel, and David Seprian, Head of Business Development & Partnership at WeTV. The event was attended by Sulik’s extended family, relatives, and local residents, creating a festive atmosphere in the neighborhood.
Adding to the celebration, several models appeared wearing colorful costumes inspired by the famous Jember Carnival, bringing a touch of local culture to the occasion.
Telkomsel, Indonesia’s largest mobile network operator and a subsidiary of the telecommunications company Telkom Indonesia, said the collaboration reflects its commitment to expanding inclusive digital entertainment access for people across the country.
Lesley Simpson, VP Digital Lifestyle at Telkomsel, stated:
“Through this collaboration, Telkomsel reaffirms our commitment to delivering inclusive and engaging digital entertainment experiences that provide real benefits for customers across Indonesia. This joint program with WeTV shows that our innovation is not only about technology, but also about how Telkomsel becomes closer, more relevant, and able to deliver meaningful value to communities from major cities to remote regions. For Telkomsel, this collaboration with WeTV is not merely about giving away prizes, but a real manifestation of our commitment to enriching the digital entertainment experience for customers. We want every customer, wherever and whenever they are, to feel the benefits, attention, and connection that Telkomsel continues to build through services and collaborations that are increasingly relevant to their digital lifestyles.”
Meanwhile, Febriamy Hutapea, Country Head of WeTV Indonesia, said Sulik’s story reflects the diverse backgrounds of WeTV users throughout Indonesia.
“The story of Mrs. Sulik Rahayu in Jember reminds us that WeTV customers come from diverse backgrounds and regions across Indonesia. Through this program and our close collaboration with Telkomsel, we want to ensure that every customer has the same opportunity to enjoy quality entertainment while also experiencing exciting surprises from WeTV. We hope this initiative can continue to bring happiness and create a positive impact for society. Once again, we would like to express our gratitude to Telkomsel for the outstanding collaboration and support in delivering this program. Through this partnership, we hope to continue providing digital entertainment experiences that are closer, more relevant, and bring added value to communities across various regions in Indonesia,” Febriamy Hutapea said.
To ensure a smooth process for the winner, Telkomsel and WeTV confirmed that all prize taxes have been fully covered by the organizers. As a result, Sulik was able to receive the Honda Brio without any additional financial burden.
Through this initiative, the two companies reaffirm their role not only as providers of digital entertainment content, but also as partners that bring tangible benefits and real happiness to communities across Indonesia.
