LayarHijau – Zhao Lusi is once again in the spotlight as her name continues to circulate in discussions about upcoming drama and variety show projects. The popular actress is rumored to be starring in a new costume drama titled Inverted Fate, while also being linked to a pet-themed variety show that could see her reunite on screen with Chen Zheyuan.
Last year, Zhao Lusi successfully made a strong comeback through the hit drama Love’s Ambition, which earned the title of the queen of Chinese dramas in 2025. The success marked a turning point in her career after a difficult period following disputes with her former agency, Galaxy Cool Entertainment. After that, rumors emerged that she had joined a new company. Since then, her career momentum has clearly picked up again, with endorsement deals and acting offers steadily coming her way.

One of the most talked-about projects is the S+ scale costume drama Inverted Fate, produced by Youku and directed by Dao, who previously helmed Yi Xiao Sui Ge. Zhao Lusi has been rumored to take on the female lead role since last year. As for the male lead, several names had surfaced earlier, including Xiao Zhan, Zhang Linghe, Tian Xuning, and Yang Xuwen. Recently, however, the role has been rumored to go to Song Weilong, whose popularity surged after starring in Shine On Me.
If confirmed, Inverted Fate would mark a reunion between Zhao Lusi and Song Weilong following their collaboration in Untouchable Lovers. The pairing of the two, known for their strong visuals, has already sparked excitement among fans, many of whom are eagerly anticipating their on-screen chemistry.
Beyond drama projects, Zhao Lusi is also rumored to be joining Mango TV’s upcoming variety show Pet Partners. The program centers on four celebrity pet lovers who come together to open a pet-themed concept store, combining curated products, adorable pet parties, and a social space into one. The show aims to realistically portray the journey of building a business from scratch.
The rumored guest list includes Zhao Lusi, Chen Zheyuan, Li Jiaqi, Meng Ziyi, Ding Yuxi, Chang Huasen, Zhang Yuxi, and Chen Linong. If the lineup becomes reality, the show could reunite popular CP pairings from Hidden Love and The Romance of Tiger and Rose, sending CP fans into a frenzy.
Zhao Lusi’s potential participation in Pet Partners is widely seen as a perfect fit. She is well known as a devoted pet owner, especially of her two dachshunds, Doe and Diandian, who frequently appear in her social media posts. She has even featured them in fashion shoots for the brand JORYA and, last year, launched her own lifestyle label, ROSYDOEDIAN. The brand sells daily-use items and pet products designed by Zhao Lusi and her friends, featuring cute and distinctive designs that have proven popular among young consumers.
For now, both Inverted Fate and Pet Partners remain unconfirmed. Fans and the public alike are still waiting for official announcements from the respective production teams regarding Zhao Lusi’s involvement and the final cast lineups.
