LayarHijau – Bai Jingting’s latest drama Mobius (不眠日) officially premiered today on iQiyi. The crime-fantasy series immediately drew attention, not only for its story but also because of the special support shown by Zhang Ruonan, his co-star from the hit drama The First Frost (難哄).
Zhang Ruonan’s studio reportedly purchased 500 viewing slots on iQiyi through the platform’s cloud screening feature. This feature allows studios, brands, or even fan groups to bulk-buy premium memberships, creating an online group-watching experience. Such a gesture is rarely made publicly, and CP (couple pairing) fans of Bai Jingting and Zhang Ruonan quickly interpreted it as an affectionate display, fueling speculation about their relationship.

Since The First Frost amassed more than 17.5 billion views and was crowned the most popular modern drama of 2025, both Bai Jingting and Zhang Ruonan’s popularity has skyrocketed. Their on-screen chemistry has won them a massive CP fanbase, and off-screen coincidences—like wearing similar-colored outfits or posting on social media at nearly the same time—have only intensified dating rumors.
Coincidentally, today Zhang Ruonan also attended the opening event of a Michael Kors boutique in China. Her look was a departure from the sweet “first love girl” image she’s known for. She appeared with retro curled hair, a chic maillard-tone (warm brown palette) outfit, sharp black eyeliner, dark red nails, and MK’s signature gold hoop earrings. The transformation was widely praised for blending vintage, sweet, and edgy styles seamlessly.
Adding fuel to the buzz, CP fans quickly noticed that the color palette of Zhang Ruonan’s outfit was strikingly similar to what Bai Jingting wore at a Louis Vuitton event back in June. The resemblance led netizens to joke that the two were once again “sending signals” to each other through fashion.
Zhang Ruonan rose to fame with films like Cry Me a Sad River and Your Wedding. The massive success of The First Frost, often described as the “sister drama” to Hidden Love, cemented her status as one of China’s brightest rising actresses. Now, with Mobius freshly released and Zhang Ruonan’s very public support, the pair have once again become the hottest topic in Chinese entertainment.
