The passing of the actress, also known as Big S, has left a profound wound for her husband, family, and friends, as well as fans worldwide.
One of Barbie Hsu’s close friends, Jia Yongjie (Janet Chia), shared her final memories on social media. In her post, she vividly described the emotional atmosphere during their farewell at the hospital. “Seeing you, calm and peaceful, still beautiful as always, as if you were just asleep. But this sleep is too serene; our hearts ache so much, yet it seems we can only let you go,” she wrote, as reported by Sohu.
Jia continued, “Endless tears, indescribable sorrow; no matter how hard we cry, we cannot wake you from your slumber.” In a heartfelt expression, Jia added, “Finally, with a deep kiss from Oppa (Barbie Hsu’s husband, DJ Koo), I say goodbye with love, his cries tearing our hearts apart.”
According to Jia, Dazhuang’s (Big S) final visage was beautiful and peaceful, just as it had been during their previous collaborations, highlighting the deep bond of friendship they shared.
Another friend, Pace Wu Peici, also expressed her profound sense of loss. She had planned to meet Barbie Hsu in Tokyo but instead witnessed her being rushed to the hospital. Wu described her feelings, saying, “I felt as if she were filming, and when the director shouted cut, she would rise again.”
According to reports from Taiwanese media today, February 4, Dazhuang (Big S) has been cremated in Japan. It was reported that Dazhuang’s mother, Huang Chunmei, will return to Taiwan from Japan today, and Barbie Hsu’s husband, DJ Koo, along with her sister, Xiao S (Dee Hsu), are scheduled to return to Taiwan with Barbie Hsu’s ashes on February 6.
