Mi-young finally recalled that she had once stabbed Won-ho with a weapon. Until then, she had believed that her decision to divorce him stemmed from the violence she had experienced at his hands. However, the truth turned out to be far more complicated.
Won-ho was actually injured while trying to stop Mi-young from harming herself after she suffered a miscarriage. Once she remembered what had really happened, Mi-young was overwhelmed with guilt, realizing that Won-ho had been blamed for something that happened while he was trying to save her.
Mi-young broke down in tears while speaking to her lawyer, Jeon Chi-hyun (Oh Yeon-ah). She wondered what it must have been like for Won-ho to keep being blamed despite being the one who was actually injured in the incident.
After learning the truth, Mi-young began treating Won-ho more gently. Won-ho, however, continued to keep his distance.
He told her that he was fine and that she did not need to worry about him. Even when Mi-young tracked him down to the motel where he was staying, Won-ho remained cold and eventually sent her away.
Things became even more complicated when An Hee-joo (Lee Jin-yi) entered the picture.
Hee-joo used a passcode she had learned after taking a drunk Won-ho home in the past to enter his house. There, she encountered Won-ho’s mother, Ryu Mi-soon (Moon Hee-kyung), and his younger brother, Ji Seung-ho (Koo Sung-hwan).
Hee-joo introduced herself as Won-ho’s girlfriend, immediately sparking an argument with Mi-soon. The confrontation escalated into a physical fight and eventually landed them at the police station.
When Won-ho arrived, he confirmed to the police that Hee-joo was his girlfriend. In reality, however, the two were not actually dating.
Hee-joo had offered to help Won-ho end his marriage to Mi-young, and he accepted her proposal. Their relationship was simply a ruse designed to help Won-ho finally cut ties with his wife.
Won-ho even asked Mi-young to sign a written agreement stating that she would not object to him seeing Hee-joo. He was determined to put an end to his relationship with Mi-young for good.
The situation then became more dangerous when Calvin got involved in the conflict.
Hee-joo had previously lost her job at a hotel because of Calvin. Won-ho later helped her find a new position at G&White, which angered Calvin. He demanded that Won-ho cancel her employment, but Won-ho refused.
Their growing conflict eventually escalated into something far more serious.
After receiving news that Hee-joo had been injured, Won-ho rushed to find her. However, he was suddenly ambushed by a group of men and abducted.
Mi-young also began searching for Hee-joo after losing contact with her. Meanwhile, Won-ho was taken to an unknown location, where he eventually came face-to-face with Calvin.
Episode 6 ended on a major cliffhanger as Won-ho discovered that Calvin was behind his kidnapping. With Mi-young’s former lover now directly targeting her estranged husband, the couple’s divorce drama has taken a dangerous new turn.
Episode 7 of ‘Okay, Let’s Get Divorced’ will air on September 9 at 11 p.m. KST on KBS Drama and GTV in South Korea. The new episode will also be available afterward on TVING and Wavve, two South Korean streaming platforms.
For viewers in Indonesia, ‘Okay, Let’s Get Divorced’ is available to stream on Viu.
