LayarHijau – Bandai Namco Entertainment has launched a special website marking the 40th anniversary of Gundam games, kicking off a year of celebrations for four decades of Gundam video games.
The anniversary traces its roots back to August 1986, when “Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: Hot Scramble” (機動戦士Zガンダム ホットスクランブル) was released as the first Gundam video game.

The newly launched Gundam Game 40th Anniversary website takes fans through four decades of Gundam games while also highlighting the latest title in the franchise, “GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT.”
The site also confirms that “GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT” will be featured at Tokyo Game Show 2026, where attendees will have the chance to get hands-on with the game.
In addition to the standard demo stations, Bandai Namco will set up a special demo station inspired by the cockpit of the Gundam Helix, the protagonist’s mobile suit. The setup is designed to give players a more immersive way to experience the game.
Access to the special demo will be available through one of two methods. Visitors can present a numbered ticket distributed at the booth on the day of the event, or show a winning direct message from the special test pilot recruitment lottery.
Applications for the test pilot lottery opened on August 26. Details about eligibility and how to enter are available on the announcement page within the Gundam Game 40th Anniversary website.
The appearance of “GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT” at Tokyo Game Show 2026 will be one of the highlights of the 40th-anniversary celebrations, giving fans an opportunity to try the upcoming game for themselves.
The anniversary website also offers fans a chance to look back at the evolution of Gundam games, from “Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: Hot Scramble” in 1986 to the latest developments in the franchise.
More information about the Gundam Game 40th Anniversary campaign, “GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT,” and the special Tokyo Game Show 2026 demo can be found on the official anniversary website.
