“They’re both wonderful,” Ai Mi said.
While speaking positively about both co-stars, Ai Mi singled out one memorable scene she filmed with Zhang Xiaofei. In the sequence, Zhang had to perform a kicking motion while Ai Mi assisted during the filming.
According to Ai Mi, Zhang Xiaofei constantly pushed herself to deliver the best possible performance. She repeatedly checked with the director to make sure every movement looked natural and convincing, just like a real soccer player.
“There was one scene where Sister Xiaofei had to do a kicking move, and I was helping with the shot. On set, she kept pushing herself. She would repeatedly ask the director whether the movement looked right and whether her kick looked authentic enough for a soccer player,” Ai Mi recalled.
The experience left a lasting impression on the 17-year-old actress. Watching Zhang Xiaofei’s commitment firsthand gave her a deeper appreciation for the level of preparation and discipline veteran performers bring to every scene.
“From them, I truly felt their love for acting, as well as the incredibly high standards and expectations they set for themselves,” she said.
Ai Mi said working with Dilraba Dilmurat and Zhang Xiaofei gave her a valuable opportunity to learn directly from experienced actresses. Seeing their dedication and professionalism on set has further motivated her to continue growing and improving as an actress.
