The teacher admitted she was both nervous and excited when she first learned that she would be teaching Zhao Lusi. Because of confidentiality reasons, she had to keep the news secret for nearly a month before the concert was officially announced.
She explained that Zhao Lusi’s schedule was incredibly busy, and despite often working late into the night, the actress still made time to attend Thai lessons. At first, the teacher was curious why Zhao Lusi suddenly wanted to study the language.
Everything became clear after the Thailand concert was announced. Zhao Lusi reportedly wanted to speak directly to Thai fans in their own language, so she actively searched for phrases she wanted to say and repeatedly discussed them with her teacher to make sure they sounded natural and meaningful.
The actress also practiced Thai songs extensively to deliver the best possible performance on stage. Her dedication deeply moved her teacher.
While watching the concert in person, the teacher said she could not hold back her tears after seeing how much Zhao Lusi had accomplished in such a short amount of time.
“When I thought about how little time she actually spent learning but still managed to do that well, as a Thai teacher, I felt incredibly proud,” she shared.
