LayarHijau – The costume drama Glory ( 玉茗茶骨), which premiered in late December 2025, tells a story of romance, intrigue, and power struggles within a noble family in ancient China. The main plot follows Lu Jianglai (Hou Minghao), a young official whose career collapses due to an old case and who loses his memory, only to be saved by Rong Shanbao (Guli Nazha), the intelligent daughter of the Rong family with a history of rivalry against him. Over time, their antagonism evolves into a more complex relationship.
Within the Rong family, Zhao Jiamin plays Rong Yunyin, Rong Shanbao’s younger sister. Her character plays a key role in the family dynamics, helping to heighten internal conflicts while also showing the sibling bond amid the unfolding intrigue.
On the January 14, 2026, episode of the interview program Star Colleague, Guli Nazha and Zhao Jiamin shared their experiences on set, including lighthearted moments and interactions with Hou Minghao. One standout topic was Hou Minghao’s habit of singing quietly on set. Nazha revealed, “I often heard him singing quietly while we were filming,” smiling as she described the friendly atmosphere among the cast. Zhao Jiamin added that although she didn’t always hear it, the habit was noticeable to the other actors.
Nazha also explained that she initially joked that Hou Minghao’s singing was “just average.” “It was just a joke,” she said, adding that Hou Minghao immediately defended himself, insisting his singing was better than she implied.
However, Nazha’s perspective changed after watching several of Hou Minghao’s stage performances. “After seeing him perform a few times on stage, I realized he really sings very well,” Nazha said. She also noted that the drama’s OST during key scenes enhanced the emotional impact and perfectly supported crucial moments in the story. From this experience, Nazha admitted she has now become a fan of Hou Minghao’s stage performances, not just a colleague.
