In a statement reported by NetEase (via Yahoo Singapore), Liu firmly stated that he has never received any script circulating online, let alone accepted an offer to be involved in the project.
“I’ve been busy with music variety shows lately and haven’t paid much attention to what’s happening online,” said Liu, responding to the growing buzz among fans.
He also reminded fans to maintain proper etiquette when engaging in discussions on social media, especially when interacting with other fandoms.
“I hope everyone can stay polite and friendly, and not argue over things that haven’t been confirmed,” he added.
This is not the first time Liu Yuning has had to face baseless rumors regarding his involvement in a drama project. His fans have also expressed frustration over the recurring situation, as Liu often becomes the target of online criticism every time a casting rumor goes viral.
Liu Yuning is currently busy with various activities in the music industry, including appearances on several ongoing variety shows.
