In the photos, she is seen with Victor Ma Boqian. Both are dressed in winter clothing against a backdrop of a river and trees covered in snow. There is no information on when these photos were taken.
Coincidentally or not, these photos were shared shortly after the final episode of The First Frost aired for the general audience on March 17. The First Frost stars Bai Jingting and Zhang Ruonan and tells the love story of Wen Yifan and Sang Yan.
As previously reported by LayarHijau, during the airing of Hidden Love, viewers in China highlighted Zhao Lusi and Victor Ma’s performances as siblings in the drama.
In Hidden Love, Zhao Lusi plays Sang Zhi, a high school girl who secretly admires her older brother’s college friend, Duan Jiaxu (Chen Zheyuan). The plot of the drama generally follows the typical teenage romance narrative. Zhao Lusi effectively conveys a shy demeanor when interacting with Duan Jiaxu and expresses annoyance when teased by her brother, Sang Yan (Victor Ma).
Throughout several episodes, viewers praised the sibling dynamic between Zhao Lusi and Victor Ma, finding it to be very entertaining. Victor Ma portrays Sang Yan, who is seven years older than Sang Zhi. He is often shown getting angry and grumbling when asked to take care of his sister. He also frequently plays pranks on and teases her. Their performances as siblings and the scenes involving both characters received acclaim from viewers for appearing very natural and realistic, resembling a true brother-sister relationship.
Victor Ma is a Chinese-American singer. He was the runner-up in the talent show The Coming One. Before participating in that show, he interned as a crew member for renowned director Chen Kaige, serving as a translator and an extra.
However, the Ma Boqian family is no ordinary family. Both of his parents work in the construction industry. His father, Ma Qingyun, is a well-known architect who was named one of the Most Influential Designers in the world by Business Weekly in 2010. Their home in Los Angeles has even been used as a filming location for the television series Modern Family.
