A short time later, Hong Yao was seen busy on a phone call, while Wu Jinyan casually chatted with friends.
Weibo users have been particularly focused on the noticeable roundness of the actress’s belly, which many interpret as an indication that she might be pregnant. Reactions from netizens in China have been mixed. Some have mocked a statement from Wu Jinyan’s producer, Yu Zheng, who denied the pregnancy rumors, suggesting that it seemed more like a joke and was not credible. Others questioned, “How long has it been since they announced their marriage? Wasn’t it just recently? Given her belly, it looks like she’s about to give birth.”
Previously, netizens speculated that the couple’s sudden marriage was due to Wu Jinyan being pregnant out of wedlock. There were even rumors suggesting she was already five months along at the time of their wedding.
The majority of Weibo users expressed happiness for the actress’s potential pregnancy and wished her a smooth journey ahead. Many also admired Wu Jinyan for continuing to work hard on drama shoots during her pregnancy, viewing it as a testament to her professionalism and strong work ethic.
On the other hand, some fans expressed frustration over the trending topic, arguing that the public should respect the couple’s privacy and focus instead on Wu Jinyan’s upcoming projects.
Wu Jinyan recently wrapped up filming for the drama Those Flowers and is reported to be paired with Wang Xingyue in another drama, although the start date for filming has not yet been announced.
