“First of all, I can say that almost all of you look at dogs (pets) with tenderness because they are all quite cute,” he replied.
He then explained that the gaze is related to acting methods. Good acting comes from the heart, and the eyes are the window to our souls. “I think everyone has a creative method that suits them. So maybe this is what works for me,” he elaborated.
Weibo users discussed the actor’s remarks, with some recalling a previous hot search where Zhu Xudan responded to rumors that she and Ding Yuxi had a special relationship due to Ding Yuxi’s affectionate gaze towards her.
This speculation arose when they observed Ding Yuxi’s expressions and gaze towards Zhu Xudan during a promotional event for the drama “Love Game in Eastern Fantasy.”
The speculation and Zhu Xudan’s response were met with humorous reactions from netizens in China. It turns out Ding Yuxi doesn’t only gaze at the opposite sex with affection but also looks at male comedian Yang Di with the same expression.
In this interview, the reporter did not directly mention this issue but discussed Ding Yuxi’s gaze in general. Ding Yuxi also chose to talk about his gaze in a broader context.
