In the leaked clips, Li Xian appeared wearing gold-rimmed glasses while focusing seriously on photographing Zhang Jingyi. Meanwhile, the actress looked effortlessly stylish in a trench coat paired with loose wavy hair, creating an elegant and artistic atmosphere. Even without intentionally posing, Zhang Jingyi’s calm and cool aura made the moment feel like a scene straight out of a romance film.
Their interaction quickly drew enthusiastic reactions from fans. Many netizens praised their strong chemistry and said they perfectly matched the vibe of a modern romantic drama. Others also loved the cinematic atmosphere naturally created by their simple behind-the-scenes interaction.
Some netizens even joked that the photography scenes from the drama seemed to continue into real life.
A Touch of Green is adapted from a popular forbidden-love novel. The story follows Meng Fuyuan, a technology company CEO who secretly harbors feelings for six years for Chen Qingwu, his younger brother’s girlfriend, played by Zhang Jingyi.
In the story, Meng Fuyuan often uses a camera to capture moments of the woman he loves. Because of that, Li Xian photographing Zhang Jingyi on set was seen as perfectly matching their characters’ dynamic in the drama, making many viewers feel as if the story had come to life in reality.
The pair’s chemistry had actually started attracting attention earlier when they appeared together in a luxury brand short film. Scenes of them making pottery together and sharing an umbrella in the rain previously went viral and were viewed by fans as the perfect warm-up for A Touch of Green.
Now, with more filming leaks surfacing online, including romantic scenes and kissing moments, public anticipation for the drama continues to grow. Many netizens left comments such as, “This couple’s visuals are seriously refreshing for modern Chinese dramas,” and “Please release the photos Li Xian took. That’s the bonus content we really want to see.”
Fans of the original novel also believe Li Xian and Zhang Jingyi perfectly fit their characters. Li Xian’s mature charm and Zhang Jingyi’s cool elegance are said to capture the emotional tension from the original story exceptionally well.
Although the drama is still in production, A Touch of Green has consistently remained near the top of most-anticipated drama rankings and is already being predicted as one of the biggest modern romance dramas of 2026.
