She’s Got No Name is a film set in 1940s Shanghai, starring Zhang Ziyi in the leading role. In this movie, Yang Mi plays Wang Xumei while Li Xian portrays Zhang Baofu. Despite their characters not being romantically linked, their real-life interaction at promotional events left a deep impression on fans.

In various clips circulating on Weibo, Yang Mi and Li Xian can be seen sitting or standing next to each other. While their interaction appeared minimal, their movements and body language were surprisingly in sync. Many netizens noted that the two seemed so familiar with each other that they could “communicate” without exchanging words or glances.
A previous interaction between them also caught public attention. At a different event, Li Xian was walking the red carpet when Yang Mi, standing backstage, loudly praised him as a handsome man. Her voice was so clear that it was heard by reporters and made Li Xian visibly blush on camera. That moment, too, made netizens ask why the two haven’t been paired in a drama yet.
Judging by the wide range of online comments, many fans have dubbed them “离婚CP” or “divorced couple CP.” In Chinese fandom culture, CP stands for “couple pairing,” while “离婚” means “divorced.” So a “divorced CP” refers to a fictional or imagined pairing with the emotional tension and dynamic of a couple who has separated but still shares a visible connection. The term “是我们离婚cp” — literally “they are our divorced couple CP” — is often used playfully to describe such a vibe.
Some popular comments circulating on Weibo include:
“Yang Mi and Li Xian’s aesthetic is giving strong divorced couple energy. ‘Hello friends from the media, thank you for attending our divorce press conference…’ I love it.”
“Is there really no scriptwriter or director sensitive enough to offer them a drama project together?”
“They don’t seem related when standing side by side, but they look so good together. I want to support this divorced CP even if Yang Mi and Li Xian themselves don’t do anything.”
“The first divorced couple in domestic entertainment back in the same frame again. Would you two really not consider collaborating?”
Adding to their appeal, both Yang Mi and Li Xian are known for playing bold, strong-willed characters in their respective dramas. Yang Mi stood out with commanding roles in Novoland: Pearl Eclipse and Storm Eye, while Li Xian impressed audiences with serious, charismatic performances in Go Go Squid! and Tientsin Mystic. With their solid acting skills and complementary charisma, many believe that if paired in the right story, they could deliver an emotionally resonant portrayal of a complex relationship—such as a divorced couple with lingering feelings.
Now, all eyes are on drama producers and screenwriters in China. Fans are hoping someone will take the leap and cast these two stars together. With their unique dynamic and deep emotional range, Yang Mi and Li Xian could bring to life a compelling story that goes beyond conventional romance.
