In an official statement released by his studio on June 22, 2025, it was revealed that Ren Jialun has been followed to his hotels, trailed in his car, and even had individuals board the same flights to track him all the way to the city where he lives. Some went so far as to wait near his private residence.
What’s even more alarming, the statement described how certain paparazzi verbally insulted, made vulgar gestures, and even physically confronted Ren Jialun’s staff in public. These incidents have raised serious concerns for the actor’s safety and mental well-being.
The studio strongly condemned the behavior of sasaeng—a term used to describe obsessive fans who stalk celebrities—and proxy photographers, or individuals who secretly take and sell private photos or videos of artists without permission.
Ren Jialun’s Studio Issues Three Key Appeals:
Respect Privacy and Personal Boundaries
Artists have the same right to a peaceful private life as anyone else. Private homes, hotel rooms, and personal vehicles are not places for unauthorized filming or intrusion.
Reject Proxy Photography and Illegal Dissemination
The studio opposes the buying and selling of photos or information obtained without consent. They warn that edited or defamatory content will not be tolerated and may lead to legal consequences.
Support with Respect and Restraint
“True love is rooted in respect,” the studio stated. They urge fans to support Ren Jialun by appreciating his public work, not by violating his personal life.
The studio confirmed that they have already gathered evidence of several violations. If such behavior continues, they will take legal action without hesitation. They also called on fans to help build a healthier and more respectful fan culture in the entertainment industry.
For many female fans who admire Ren Jialun for his sincerity and grace on screen, this may come as a painful reminder that their beloved actor is, above all, a human being who deserves safety and dignity. True support is not measured by proximity, but by the willingness to respect boundaries.
