Introducing his character, he said, “Hello everyone, I am Zang Hai, an aide to the Hou Mansion. Recently, I’ve heard many rumors about me in the marketplace, and it seems many are doubting my identity. Well, since you’ve all guessed it already, I won’t hide it any longer. In fact, my real identity is actor Xiao Zhan.”
According to Sohu, the moment was met with laughter and warm applause from the fans in attendance.
Later, when discussing his role in the drama, Xiao Zhan reenacted several iconic lines such as “My Lord, I don’t want to die yet” and “I will end you one by one.” He also vividly described the character of Zang Hai. “Zang Hai is like a venomous snake. Don’t let me get the chance. Once I do, I’ll bite you to death — to the very last moment of your life,” he said with intense emotion.
Legend of the Zang Hai is a historical epic that delves into political intrigue, hidden identities, and power struggles within the imperial court and noble residences. With its A-list cast and veteran directors, the drama is expected to be one of the most anticipated series of the year.
