LayarHijau – Actress Shin Youn Ha has opened up about her experience playing So-Ok in Netflix’s The Scandal, including the challenges she faced during filming and the physical preparation she underwent for several intimate scenes that reveal parts of her upper body.
In a recent interview with Ilgan Sports, Shin Youn Ha revealed that The Scandal was a project she had wanted to join from the beginning. After going through several rounds of auditions, she landed the role of So-Ok and had the opportunity to work alongside established actors including Son Ye Jin, Ji Chang Wook, and Nana.
“This was really a project I wanted to do. Even after I found out that I had joined the cast, I couldn’t believe it for a while. I was so happy,” Shin Youn Ha said.
However, her excitement was accompanied by considerable nerves before filming began. She said she kept taking deep breaths on her way to set because she was so nervous.
“I was extremely nervous from the day before. I kept taking deep breaths on my way to the set. At the same time, I was worried that my nervousness would show,” she recalled.
Shin Youn Ha also worried about whether she would be able to handle the role properly. She said the support and consideration from director Jung Ji Woo, her senior co-stars, and the staff helped her adjust to the set.
“I was worried about whether I could do everything well, but thanks to the director, my senior actors, and the staff looking out for me, I was able to find my way without getting too lost. I’m very grateful,” she said.
