LayarHijau – Urban romance drama Love Between Lines (轧戏) held a special fan screening event in Beijing on January 12, attended by lead actors Chen Xingxu—also known internationally as Oliver Chen—Lu Yuxiao, and Dai Xu, who appeared together to promote the drama.
At the event, Chen Xingxu, or Oliver Chen, caught attention in a rider-style tailored suit paired with knee-high boots, projecting a sharp and masculine image. Lu Yuxiao opted for a grey strapless top matched with striped trousers in the same tone, delivering a mature and elegant look. Dai Xu chose a relaxed yet stylish outfit, wearing a black blazer paired with light-colored pants.
The atmosphere grew even more lively during the game session, when Chen Xingxu and Lu Yuxiao recreated one of the drama’s most memorable moments—the scene where a gunshot metaphorically turns into flowers. Their sweet interaction instantly filled the venue with a romantic mood, drawing cheers from the audience.
During a push-hand game, Chen Xingxu accidentally pushed Lu Yuxiao off balance. Realizing what had happened, Oliver Chen quickly reached out and pulled her back up. His instinctive reaction sparked loud applause, with many fans praising the moment as a perfect display of “boyfriend energy.”
Love Between Lines tells the story of Xiao Zhiyu and Hu Xiu, two adults who first cross paths through a role-playing murder mystery game set against the backdrop of the Republican era. Inside the game, they interact under assumed identities, gradually building trust, tension, and emotional connection without knowing each other’s real-life personas. When fate brings them together in the real world, the relationship born from scripted roles and fictional dialogue begins to blur into genuine feelings, as both characters slowly confront the line between false identities and reality.
