LayarHijau– Two rising Chinese stars, Liu Yuning and Zhao Lusi, have openly shared their honest thoughts about starring in films. In separate interviews, both actors admitted that they still have a lot to learn before they feel ready to take on the big screen.
Liu Yuning candidly revealed that he is not yet brave enough to star in a movie. He feels that his current acting skills are not strong enough to bear the enormous responsibility that comes with a high-budget film production.
“I just feel like I’m not worthy enough. If a production invests a lot of money but loses it because of me, I would feel guilty. I’m not ready to carry that kind of responsibility. I think I still need to practice and learn more,” he said.
However, Liu Yuning hasn’t completely closed the door on film. He mentioned that he would still be willing to appear in a small role or make a special appearance. “If it’s just eight or ten scenes, I would still be willing. That’s just a short part, and I could learn from the experience,” he added, as reported by Sohu.

Meanwhile, Liu Yuning’s co-star in The Long Ballad and The Story of Pearl Girl, Zhao Lusi, expressed a similar stance. In an interview on October 12, 2024, Zhao Lusi stated that she currently has no plans to act in movies. She believes that the film industry is different from television dramas and requires deeper experience in various aspects of production. She likened the filming process to taking an exam and expressed hope that fans would see her growth and transformation through her future works.
Their honest statements have received positive feedback from fans who appreciate their humility and look forward to the day when both stars are ready to take on the silver screen.
