On the afternoon of May 29, Jimu News contacted the Hohhot Personnel Examination Center about the matter. Hohhot is the capital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. A staff explained that the exam questions are set uniformly across the entire autonomous region, are considered confidential, and are not published online — meaning they themselves were not aware of the exact content of the questions.
In other words, based on the recollection of test takers who shared the question on social media, the original text read: As the migratory bird season arrives, many parts of the country have entered the prime period for birdwatching. Many people have joined the “bird photography army.” A masked artist entered a park and captured many vivid photos of waterbirds, attracting the attention of netizens. Many people followed suit, becoming part of the “migratory bird tribe,” photographing the ecological scenery in their hometowns. What is your opinion on this?
In photos of the test papers circulating from various civil service exam prep institutions, opinions on “Li Xian photographing birds” were also mentioned. Netizens flooded the comment sections, saying: “Wow, it’s amazing that a celebrity can spark an ecological photography trend and even become a topic in provincial-level exams!”
According to a report by Sohu, this is not the first time that the topic of “Li Xian photographing birds” has captured public attention. Previously, related discussions had been covered multiple times by the media. On April 4, China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment even released a special article stating that Li Xian — the popular actor known for his love of photography — truly lives up to the title of “Floral and Avian Ambassador.” (This title refers to the character role Li Xian played in the drama Flourished Peony.) He has single-handedly brought topics like “Yuyuantan Birdwatching” into the spotlight and made them a cross-circle phenomenon this spring.
Subsequently, culture and tourism departments from cities across China responded by tagging Li Xian on their official social media accounts, inviting him to visit and photograph birds in their regions.
Reporters also noted that Li Xian’s latest personal social media updates continue to showcase the photos he recently took, with netizens actively engaging in the comments.
