LayarHijau – The drama Born to Be Alive, starring Yang Zi and Hu Ge, officially wrapped filming on October 31, 2025. The series tells the story of Bai Ju, a girl adopted by Bai Ge Gen, the team leader of the Qinghai-Tibet Highway project, and his wife Zhang Qin Qin. Raised in the Gobi Desert, Bai Ju grows up with love and dedication, inspired by the Bai family. As an adult, she becomes a police officer and joins the mountain patrol team, protecting her homeland on the Tibetan Plateau.

Yang Zi shared the physically demanding experiences during filming. On her second day on set, she went straight to a location at 4,000 meters above sea level. “I thought I would be fine, but once I got there, my head hurt badly, and I could hardly speak. I had to deliver my lines while breathing oxygen,” Yang Zi said.

The following day, she filmed an action scene that required running while pulling someone, with a snowstorm chasing them. “After that scene, my body felt completely exhausted, almost collapsing, and I had trouble breathing,” she added.

Beyond the physical challenges, the drama highlights Bai Ju’s emotional journey. From a girl who lost her family to a police officer serving in the mountains, she learns about love, sacrifice, and dedication. Scenes on the Tibetan Plateau add both tension and visual beauty, showcasing Yang Zi’s commitment to portraying a character that is both realistic and deeply touching to the audience.
