LayarHijau – Over a decade after Avatar: The Last Airbender ended on Nickelodeon, the world of bending is making a big comeback. Following the sequel The Legend of Korra, a new series called Avatar: Seven Havens and the upcoming film The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender are set to bring Aang and his friends back this year. While no footage has yet shown the characters as adults, recently leaked images have given fans their first look—plus a brand-new character.

The images, released through Target’s promotional materials, show adult versions of Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph, and Zuko. One group shot also introduces a mysterious newcomer, whose tattoos mirror Aang’s, hinting that he could be another airbender.

Originally slated for a theatrical release, Paramount later decided the film would premiere on Paramount+ on October 9. Despite this change, many fans are still hoping for a big-screen experience. Director Lauren Montgomery shared her excitement: “This movie is amazing! I might be biased as the director, but I genuinely think it deserves to be seen on the big screen.”

The original voice cast will not return. Eric Nam voices Aang, Dionne Quan plays Toph, Jessica Matten takes on Katara, Roman Zaragoza is Sokka, and Steven Yeun voices Zuko. In addition, several well-known actors, including Dave Bautista, Ke Huy Quan, and Taika Waititi, join the film in roles that remain under wraps. Fans are keeping their fingers crossed that the cinematic experience could still happen before the fall release.
