LayarHijau – The costume drama Glory (玉茗茶骨), which premiered in late December 2025, tells a story of romance, family intrigue, and power struggles among the Rong sisters, a noble family whose relationships are marked by rivalry, affection, and personal ambitions. The story focuses on Rong Shanbao (Guli Nazha), the eldest sister who is intelligent and protective, and Rong Yunyin (Zhao Jiamin), the fourth sister whose rebellious and emotional nature drives much of the family’s internal conflicts.

In the January 14, 2026, episode of the interview program Star Colleague (Xing Tongshi), Guli Nazha and Zhao Jiamin shared behind-the-scenes experiences from filming Glory, including their interactions with the other Rong sisters. The two emphasized that fans often refer to the sisters as “完颜团” (Wányán tuán)—a term that literally means “Wanyan group,” referencing a historic noble surname. In the context of Glory, the label is used by fans to highlight the sisters’ striking appearances, distinctive personalities, and the compelling, often tense interactions among them, rather than suggesting harmony or uniformity.

Nazha praised her fellow sisters on-screen: “No, all my sisters are very beautiful. The viewers’ comments kept saying, ‘Wow, all the sisters are beautiful.’” Zhao Jiamin added, “Each sister has her own kind of beauty; there’s always one you like.”

They also discussed the most unusual fan-favorite pairings (CPs). Zhao Jiamin mentioned an extremely abstract pairing, such as Yang Dingchen and his servant, while Nazha noted that some fans even “ship” the two of them together: “We have our playful clashes, but we are the straight-laced pair,” they laughed. When asked about the pairings they most wanted to support or break up, Zhao Jiamin said, “The one we most want to support is our ‘Laizhe Bushan,’ while the one we want to break up is Yang Dingchen and his servant.”

The conversation then turned to the on-screen relationship between the eldest and fourth sisters. Nazha reflected on Yunyin’s emotional depth: “I knew this character was just rebellious. She lacked love from an early age and wanted her sister’s attention. Every time she said, ‘You don’t love me enough, you always love the sixth sister,’ it felt like being pierced by a needle. But I didn’t want to show that pain too much, so she would continue to rebel.” Zhao Jiamin added that watching the scenes made her aware of the genuine care and patience Nazha gave her: “I was very moved because even when I felt like I was being troublesome, she always supported me and gave me the chance to redo scenes.”

Off-screen, the cast dynamics were also warm. Zhao Jiamin described her closeness with Cheng Xiao, who plays another Rong sister: “Xiaoxiao and I are already like family. When we eat together, we don’t have to speak formally; we are very relaxed and familiar with each other. We danced and performed together since we were very young. Back in Beijing, we lived near each other and ate together every day.” Guli Nazha also consistently supported Zhao Jiamin during challenging scenes, ensuring the chemistry among the sisters felt natural on screen.

Lighthearted and humorous moments also marked their experience, such as mimicking expressions or gestures of other characters on set. These glimpses show that even though Glory depicts a family full of intrigue and tension, the cast maintains a warm bond off-screen, which enhances the on-screen relationships. From rivalry and rebellion to affection and mentorship, these dynamics make the story of the Rong sisters feel vivid, emotionally rich, and authentic.
