LayarHijau – Chinese actor Yu Menglong, who tragically passed away after a fall on September 11, still leaves many questions surrounding the circumstances of his death. Today (October 17), Yu’s mentor, Sun Derong, held a memorial and soul-purification ceremony for the late actor at Xinyue Hall in Banqiao, Taiwan.

Around 11:00 a.m., Sun Derong, dressed in all black, arrived at the venue. As the ceremony began, hundreds of fans gathered outside to pay their final respects. Local police from Haishan Precinct were also present to monitor the crowd and ensure safety.

According to reports, Sun Derong led a five-hour ceremony aimed at calming Yu Menglong’s spirit, gathering his soul, and dispelling any lingering negative energies. Fans were allowed to enter the venue starting at 12:00 p.m. to offer their condolences.

At the entrance, a half-body photo of Yu Menglong in white attire was displayed, with his right hand touching a leaf and the words “The Day Will Come” written beside it. Several fish-shaped balloons were placed around the photo, symbolizing Yu Menglong’s soul freely ascending back to the light.

As the ceremony approached 12:40 p.m., more fans continued to arrive. They came with somber expressions, carrying flowers and mementos to honor the late actor. Local authorities ensured order and security, given the large number of attendees.
