Despite this, the drama quickly became extremely popular. Within just four days, it surpassed 30,000 viewers, making it the fastest drama this year to reach that milestone, and audience responses have been very enthusiastic.
On September 30, Zhao Lusi held a livestream on social media to talk about the limited promotion of Love’s Ambition. She actually sees it as a positive thing: “You all are the best channel for promotion. It’s the quality of the drama and everyone’s love for it that spreads the word. It also saves costs and allows us to see real reviews, both good and bad, which is great.” She praised the director for being kind, trusting and protecting her, and for having a good working relationship with the cast. Zhao Lusi expressed relief that the drama aired smoothly. “I’m very happy that my previous incident didn’t affect the drama. I feel fortunate that everything went well. When asked about her condition, Zhao Lusi emphasized that she needs to maintain balance and cannot rush things. “I also need to adjust my mindset. This isn’t something that can be hurried. During the livestream, some malicious comments were made by irresponsible accounts attacking Zhao Lusi’s appearance and character.
