LayarHijau – Two weeks have passed since Chinese actor Yu Menglong fell to his death on September 11. Yet suspicions surrounding the circumstances of his passing continue to surge online. Amidst the spread of various conspiracy theories, Beijing police have arrested and prosecuted three netizens found guilty of fabricating false rumors.
Now, the public has launched a petition titled “No Longer Hidden,” demanding justice for the late actor. So far, the petition has gathered 28,953 signatures. On its official website, the petition calls for truth and accountability while expressing deep grief and anger over Menglong’s death, which many believe was full of troubling irregularities.

The petition highlights the circulation of new video footage, one of which allegedly captures Yu Menglong’s heartbreaking cries while being tortured. This has further fueled speculation that his death was not a natural accident, but a premeditated and brutal killing.
Netizens have also appealed to international organizations such as Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International to pay closer attention to the issues of life safety, personal freedom, and sexual assault prevention in the entertainment industry. They hope pressure from these groups will help push for necessary reforms.
The petition lays out three core demands from the public:
- A comprehensive, independent, and transparent investigation to restore justice.
- If a crime is confirmed, the perpetrators must be prosecuted with the most severe punishment.
- The relevant authorities must issue a public apology and provide legal and psychological support to the victim’s family.
