LayarHijau – On September 8th, a blogger alleged that actor Xu Kai has been involved in gambling with a circle of close poker buddies. According to the claims, the group often stakes large sums, with Xu Kai reportedly winning or losing tens of thousands of yuan (thousands of US dollars) in a single game, adding up to millions of yuan annually (hundreds of thousands of US dollars). His private villa in Hengdian was even described as a personal “casino.” The whistleblower also shared screenshots and videos of WeChat conversations showing money transfers.

So far, Xu Kai’s side has not issued any response. When reporters contacted the Hengdian Branch of the Dongyang Public Security Bureau in Zhejiang Province, a staff member stated that details would need to be confirmed with the bureau’s political department. However, the staff confirmed that they are aware of the incident.

Xu Kai’s name had previously been drawn into controversy when his ex-girlfriend, Xu Lisha, accused him of infidelity and mentioned financial transfers. In screenshots she shared, on December 30, 2021, Xu Kai allegedly won 8,000 yuan (around 1,100 USD) playing cards in Hengdian while filming the drama Snow Eagle Lord. After losing, his poker partner transferred 2,000 yuan (around 280 USD) three times to Xu Lisha.

Xu Lisha also claimed that Xu Kai transferred 6,000 yuan (around 830 USD) to her during their relationship. In another instance, Xu Kai reportedly won 2,000 yuan (around 280 USD) from a friend and sent it to Xu Lisha, but she returned the money. When she later tried to return 6,000 yuan (around 830 USD), Xu Kai allegedly refused to accept it. According to Xu Lisha, Xu Kai was aware that gambling was illegal and told her to keep it secret.

Following the latest allegations, Xu Lisha posted another statement, stressing that her only request now is for Xu Kai to issue a public apology: “Admit to the fact of deceiving and hurting women.”

Meanwhile, police have reminded the public about the heavy consequences of gambling:
