LayarHijau –Chinese actor Zhang Linghe, who rose to fame as the second male lead in Love Between Fairy and Devil (苍兰诀), has continued to gain popularity through dramas such as My Journey to You (云之羽), Story of Kunning Palace (宁安如梦), The Princess Royal (度华年), and The Best Thing (爱你). His growing fame has made him one of the most sought-after new-generation male idols in China.

Recently, Zhang Linghe was scheduled to hold an offline fan event at a shopping mall in Changsha, Hunan. However, the plan turned into chaos after his hotel booking information was leaked to sasaeng fans. The information spread quickly, drawing massive crowds to the hotel area. Some even managed to sneak into the utility room and wait overnight in hopes of meeting the actor.

Zhang Linghe’s team was forced to carry out an emergency evacuation to avoid the mob. In a single night, they had to change hotels five times to prevent the new locations from being exposed, leaving the actor and his staff with almost no time to rest.

The actor is currently busy filming his upcoming drama Overdo (这一秒过火) alongside Wang Churan. After wrapping up filming in Hengdian, he traveled for four hours by high-speed train to Changsha for the scheduled event the next day. But upon arrival, he was immediately surrounded by sasaeng fans and paparazzi—sparking the series of incidents that followed.

The next morning, a large crowd had already gathered outside the shopping mall where the event was to take place. Tensions escalated when a female sasaeng fan attempted to force her way into the venue but was stopped and escorted away by security. With the crowd size far exceeding safety capacity, the organizers ultimately decided to cancel the event to ensure public safety.

Following the announcement, Zhang Linghe posted on Weibo: “Thank you for your hard work, safety first, see you next time,” along with a selfie to help ease fans’ disappointment.

Many fans expressed anger over the sasaengs’ actions, calling them illegal and demanding action. Others voiced sympathy for the actor, wishing him a good rest and hoping to see him again in the future.
