LayarHijau – The second season of the Chinese historical drama In the Name of Blossom (锦绣芳华), a sequel to Flourished Peony (国色芳华), officially premiered on June 30, 2025, reuniting stars Yang Zi and Li Xian in the ongoing romance and political intrigue set during the Tang Dynasty.
The first season, which aired earlier this year, earned praise for its emotional depth and the chemistry between Yang Zi as He Weifang, a resilient flower merchant, and Li Xian as Jiang Changyang, a dignified royal envoy. Now, Season 2 has quickly gained attention—especially after a trailer scene showing Li Xian shirtless, revealing his well-defined abs as Yang Zi’s character applies medicine to his back.
Although the scene is brief and includes little dialogue, the close interaction and body language between the two characters immediately sparked excitement among fans. The moment is believed to be part of a combat injury or bathing-related storyline.
According to World Journal, Li Xian underwent intensive physical training to prepare for his role in this new season. He significantly lowered his body fat percentage and developed textbook-level chest and abdominal muscles. Fans who compared his appearance in this drama to previous roles were quick to notice the transformation, joking, “While others lie down to rest, Xian Ge lies down to show his abs,” and “He’s not treating the audience like strangers!”
Directed by Ding Ziguang and written by Zhang Yuan’an, Season 2 continues the drama’s high production values and dramatic storytelling. The relationship between He Weifang and Jiang Changyang deepens as new political threats and personal challenges arise.
