Yu Zheng quickly responded, “Of course, that is not true. They can spread whatever they want, and it will not hinder our progress.”
This response directly dispels the circulating rumors and shows that his team will not be affected by such issues. As an actress who has gained significant popularity in recent years, Bai Lu’s contract with Huanyu Film and Television has always drawn considerable attention. As a well-known producer and Bai Lu’s superior, Yu Zheng naturally needs to address such rumors.
He is known for being outspoken, and this time, his direct response not only clarified Bai Lu’s contract issues but also demonstrated his attitude of not being swayed by outside rumors.
Bai Lu, born in 1994, was a well-known model and internet celebrity before her debut. With her sweet and expressive looks, she has built a substantial following on social media.
Bai Lu is a Chinese actress and model born in Changzhou, Jiangsu, China. She studied at the Changzhou Higher Vocational Technical Institute of Tourism and Commerce.
Bai Lu’s acting career began in 2015 when she starred in a short film for a literary magazine, and shortly after, she participated in a series of short films produced by Cattree Studio. In 2016, she landed her first television role in “Zhaoge.” Her breakthrough performance came in 2018 when she starred in the drama “Untouchable Lovers.” For that performance, she won the Best Newcomer award at the iQiYi All-Star Carnival.
In 2022, Bai Lu won an award at the 7th Global Diplomats’ Chinese Culture Night in the Most Popular Young Actress category and also received the “Chinese American TV Festival Golden Angel Awards” for Outstanding Actress of the Year for her role in the drama “Forever and Ever.” In 2024, she won the iQIYI iJOY TH 2025 Global Ambassador award.
Bai Lu has also lent her vocal talent to the theme songs of several dramas she has starred in.
Yu Zheng’s ability to create stars is widely recognized. Many artists have gained popularity after starring in his works, including Yang Mi, Zhao Liying, Wu Jinyan, and others. These actors performed well in Yu Zheng’s dramas and gradually won the love and recognition of the audience.
Yu Zheng is also capable of producing hit dramas, with many representative works such as “Palace,” “Beauty’s Rival in Palace,” “Legend of Lu Zhen,” “Story of Yanxi Palace,” and “The Double.”
Now, attention is focused on Bai Lu’s next steps. In fact, the company Huanyu Film and Television, where she works, has good resources and has produced many hit dramas in recent years. Her boss, Yu Zheng, has also been supportive of Bai Lu. When facing many public controversies, he has always been at the forefront to protect her, according to Sohu.
Additionally, Yu Zheng has previously stated that all the artists under his company are very talented, and their contracts are automatically renewed before the contract period ends. He also mentioned that if Bai Lu chose to terminate her contract, it would be impossible to find a replacement in a short time.
Currently, Bai Lu’s new drama, “Moonlight Mystique,” is airing, where she is paired with Ao Ruipeng.
