LayarHijau – A social media controversy arose after internet celebrity Zhang Huixian, a former participant of the reality dating show The Secret X (机智的恋爱), posted accusations against actor Wan Peng on the night of October 17. Zhang claimed that Wan Peng had contacted her boyfriend several times, calling him “dear,” and accused Wan Peng of being “used to being a homewrecker.” Throughout her post, Zhang did not provide any concrete chat records or evidence.

In response to the allegations, Wan Peng’s management issued an official statement asserting that the claims were false and demanding that all related content be immediately stopped, deleted, and not reproduced. They emphasized that legal action would be taken to protect Wan Peng’s rights. Meanwhile, Wan Peng responded in a lighthearted manner via emoticons, subtly mocking that “being overly pampered can actually cause problems.”

On the morning of October 18, Zhang Huixian publicly issued an apology to Wan Peng. She explained that after verifying the situation through mutual friends, she realized her previous accusations were a misunderstanding. Zhang said she had read fragmented and misleading information, combined with exaggerated accounts from an intoxicated intermediary, which prompted her emotional reaction to post without verification. She apologized for any personal and professional harm her actions may have caused Wan Peng.

Wan Peng, born on August 20, 1996, began her acting career with the film When We Were Young (人不彪悍枉少年). She is currently starring in the drama Love’s Ambition (许我耀眼) as the character “Qiao Lin,” which has been attracting considerable attention from viewers.
