LayarHijau – The 233rd episode of the interactive celebrity variety show Star Colleagues, which aired on Sohu Video on October 16, 2025, featured actor Hou Minghao and actress Lu Yuxiao. In addition to sharing stories about their latest drama Love in the Clouds, the two also demonstrated a warm and genuine closeness off-screen.
In a segment where they had to listen to each other’s stories and judge whether they were true or false, Hou and Lu showed how well they know each other. Lu Yuxiao said, “When Hou Minghao joined the crew of Love in the Clouds, he said he would create membership cards for everyone to use his basketball court. That made everyone smile.”

Hou Minghao also expressed enthusiasm when he learned that Lu has a favorite blue-gold tabby cat. “As soon as I heard Xiaoxiao had a favorite cat, my eyes lit up. We ended up talking at length about cats on set,” he said. Their closeness goes beyond lighthearted stories; they were already familiar with each other through mutual friends and private conversations before working together on the drama.
When discussing Hou’s experience as a trainee at SM Entertainment, Lu said she already knew a little, while Hou was happy to learn that Lu had been a fan of SM boy groups. “We had discussed this privately before, so it wasn’t unfamiliar when we met on set,” Lu said.
Their chemistry was also evident when talking about their on-screen roles as a drama couple. “We both try to fully prepare ourselves so we can focus during filming,” Hou said. Lu added, “After getting to know each other better, we often have serious discussions about the script and our characters, but there are still relaxed moments in between shoots.”
At the end of the show, Hou and Lu tried to guess each other’s viral clips. Hou instantly recognized Lu’s “lemon fork” video, while Lu quickly identified Hou’s singing clip. “This shows how well we know each other, even off set,” Lu said.
They also revealed each other’s unique habits. Hou is known as the “king of staying up late,” but he explained, “If I can sleep more than eight hours, I’ll spend two hours playing basketball and six hours sleeping. If it’s less than six hours, it’s not possible. Taking care of myself is more important.” Lu added, “But he always makes sure to play basketball after getting enough rest.”
The closeness and chemistry between Hou Minghao and Lu Yuxiao show that their relationship extends beyond being a drama couple. Friendship, shared hobbies, and mutual respect on set make their collaboration feel warm and natural, just as strong as their on-screen story.
