LayarHijau – The name of Wang Yibo became a hot topic on Weibo on February 27 and 28, 2026, after a social media user uploaded several screenshots allegedly showing chat conversations between the actor and Qi Meihe. The screenshots quickly circulated online and pushed Wang Yibo’s name into the platform’s trending searches.

According to a report by Sohu Entertainment on February 28, the leaked chat logs, which were claimed to belong to Wang Yibo, contained numerous comments about other artists as well as private information about certain individuals. The alleged content immediately sparked intense debate among netizens.

In response to the accusations, Wang Yibo’s agency, Yuehua Entertainment, issued an official statement firmly denying the authenticity and accuracy of the circulated screenshots. The agency described the content as seriously inaccurate and defamatory, stating that it not only targeted Wang Yibo but also deliberately misled the public.

Yuehua Entertainment demanded that those responsible immediately stop spreading the alleged false information, delete the fabricated content, and eliminate its negative impact. The agency further stated that it has commissioned lawyers to complete comprehensive evidence collection and will pursue legal action to the fullest extent of the law. It also urged the public not to believe or spread unverified rumors and to help maintain a healthy online environment.

Rumors about Wang Yibo’s alleged relationship with Qi Meihe are not new. Several years ago, the two were rumored to have been in a relationship for four years. Speculation intensified at the time due to claims that they underwent PCR testing at the same place and time, with screenshots suggesting they registered using the same phone number. However, these claims were never officially confirmed.

During the filming of the drama The Untamed, Wang Yibo was once photographed looking at a woman’s photo on his phone, which some netizens speculated was Qi Meihe. Due to a lack of concrete evidence and a clarification issued by his agency, the rumors eventually subsided.

In 2019, a netizen claimed to have seen Wang Yibo and Qi Meihe holding hands in Zhuhai, Guangdong. A year later, on Valentine’s Day, Wang Yibo was filming in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, while Qi Meihe was reportedly staying at the same hotel. Although these claims fueled further speculation, neither party ever confirmed the relationship.

Speculation also arose when Wang Yibo posted a promotional photo for a perfume brand while wearing a ring. Some netizens claimed that the reflection on the ring showed a woman resembling Qi Meihe. The post was later deleted, and the agency clarified that the reflection was of a staff member.

Qi Meihe is known as the daughter of a director of Sparkle Roll Group, one of China’s major luxury brand management companies. Her family was reportedly well-connected in the entertainment industry, including ties with Jackie Chan.

Despite her background, Qi Meihe has faced public criticism over alleged remarks made in private chat groups, including comments perceived as dismissive toward other women. She was also reportedly involved in controversy related to Nana Ouyang and Arthur Chen Feiyu several years ago. In 2021, her father’s company was reported to have gone bankrupt, though the family was still said to retain influence in entertainment circles.

As of now, neither Wang Yibo nor Qi Meihe has issued a personal statement regarding the latest allegations. With legal action underway, the situation continues to draw public attention.
