LayarHijau– The latest drama starring Hou Minghao and Guli Nazha, Glory (玉茗茶骨), continues to air and draw attention from viewers. However, its current popularity ranking on Maoyan’s mainland drama heat chart has yet to surpass Shine on Me, the new drama led by Song Weilong and Zhao Jinmai. In an effort to boost buzz, the production team recently held a promotional event under the banner of a “Weibo Drama Watch Party”. Unfortunately, male lead Hou Minghao was unable to attend as he is currently busy filming his upcoming drama Immortalis (碧血蟬).
With Hou Minghao absent, the entire promotional event was effectively carried by Guli Nazha alongside the supporting cast. She immediately became the center of attention, appearing in a misty blue, deep-V sheer gown paired with a side braid hairstyle that highlighted her elegant and ethereal beauty. Her striking appearance made her the visual focus throughout the event.
An unexpected moment occurred during the dance segment on stage. In the middle of the choreography, one of the shoulder straps of Guli Nazha’s gown suddenly snapped. Fortunately, the fitted design of the dress provided enough support to prevent any wardrobe malfunction. Remaining calm, Guli Nazha quickly adjusted her outfit with the help of Zhang Nan, then resumed dancing with a smile. Her composed reaction and professional handling of the situation earned praise from both the live audience and netizens.
Beyond the onstage incident, Guli Nazha further energized the atmosphere when fans asked her to recreate one of the most iconic scenes from Glory. In the drama, she plays Rong Shanbao, a powerful tea merchant queen known for her sharp gaze, commanding presence, and decisive personality. One of the most memorable scenes shows Rong Shanbao disciplining her younger brother with a series of slaps after he is caught embezzling public funds.
Facing the crowd, Guli Nazha initially appeared shy, covering her mouth and laughing softly. But once she prepared herself, her expression instantly turned cold. She blew on her palm and mimed slapping toward the audience with a fierce stare that perfectly echoed Rong Shanbao’s aura. The performance sparked loud cheers and playful shouts from fans, sending the venue into a frenzy.

Despite Hou Minghao’s absence, Guli Nazha made a conscious effort to create lively interactions on stage with the supporting actresses. In one segment, Zhang Nan, Zhao Jiamin, and Yu Yin took turns approaching her in a playful, affectionate manner. Zhang Nan, who portrays the two-faced antagonist Rong Yunshu in the drama, showed a completely different side by speaking softly and acting cute toward Guli Nazha, drawing amused reactions from the audience.
Zhao Jiamin, who plays the fourth sister Rong Yunin, was teased for being a little too aggressive in her first attempt at acting cute. When she tried again with a gentler tone, her exaggerated effort made Guli Nazha burst into laughter and jokingly cry for mercy on stage. Meanwhile, Yu Yin, who portrays the sixth sister Rong Yunwan, stayed true to her sweet character image. She ran over and nestled into Guli Nazha’s arms, receiving a warm head pat in return.

Yu Yin also shared behind-the-scenes stories from the set. She revealed that whenever her head was hit by raindrops during filming, Guli Nazha would instinctively reach out to tidy her hair with her own hands before any staff could hand over tissues. When Yu Yin felt anxious after seeing unflattering photos of herself, it was Guli Nazha who encouraged her and helped her regain confidence. Both on screen and off, Guli Nazha has shown herself to be a poised, caring, and dependable “big sister” figure.
