LayarHijau – Lee Joo Bin, the Korean actress increasingly recognized by international viewers for her role as Cheon Da Hye in the hit drama Queen of Tears, became a major topic of discussion on Weibo after a video of her slipping at a Sisley fashion event in Seoul went viral under the hashtag “韩国女演员走路从鞋上摔下来” (A South Korean actress stumbled and fell from her shoes while walking).
The incident occurred on November 19 at Lotte Department Store in Jamsil, where Lee Joo Bin was walking toward the photo area. She appeared elegant in a dark brown fur jacket, a gray cardigan, a black mini skirt, and knee-high black boots. However, the boots she wore seemed extremely high and were described by users as ill-fitting, which caused her to lose her balance and nearly fall.
Weibo users heavily criticized the dangerous footwear. Some questioned why female celebrities still had to wear such extreme heels, while others noted that the heels looked overly high and seemed to have additional insoles, making her heel almost slip out of the shoe. Despite the slip, Lee Joo Bin continued the photo session without injury and maintained her professionalism with a steady smile. Her winter-themed look, complete with a leopard-patterned bag, still drew praise for its elegant presentation.
Lee Joo Bin’s popularity has risen significantly thanks to Queen of Tears, where she plays Cheon Da Hye, a daughter-in-law of a chaebol family who appears gentle on the surface but hides a complex, manipulative side. The character became one of the most talked-about supporting roles during the drama’s run.
Interestingly, this was not the first time Lee Joo Bin experienced such an incident at a public event. At the 2024 MAMA Awards in Osaka, she also fell off the stage after announcing an award alongside Im Siwan. That moment went viral as well, and she later reassured fans that she was completely fine.
