LayarHijau – Wang Yibo’s popularity in mainland China has made him a true icon in the entertainment industry. As one of the top actors, Wang Yibo is not only the face of numerous brands but also the most valuable asset of his management company, Yuehua Entertainment. Reports indicate that around 60% of the company’s profits come from Wang Yibo, contributing roughly 1 billion yuan over the past two years, earning him the nickname “China’s entertainment fortune god.” However, since March 2025, rumors have circulated that Wang Yibo might leave Yuehua. Although he has publicly denied these claims, the speculation has already put financial pressure on the company.
According to reports, Yuehua Entertainment’s mid-year financial report for 2025 did not mention Wang Yibo, while rumors of a possible contract non-renewal continue to attract attention. Shares of Yuehua Entertainment (02306.HK) on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange have fallen consecutively, dropping 12.69% in October alone and more than 28% in total during the second half of the year.
Additionally, Wang Yibo is said to have established his own private studio, signaling a potential departure from Yuehua. Over the past two years, Wang Yibo has focused on personal activities such as rock climbing and car racing, possibly to reduce his public exposure due to contractual restrictions with Yuehua.
When Yuehua Entertainment went public in 2022, Wang Yibo’s name appeared 18 times in the company’s 445-page prospectus, earning it the nickname “Wang Yibo concept stock.” His contract with Yuehua is set to expire in October 2026, and his personal revenue contribution has consistently exceeded 60%, making him the company’s primary “golden egg.”
Yuehua Entertainment is a well-known Chinese talent management company that combines artist management, training, music production, distribution, virtual artist development, entertainment program licensing, and related merchandise sales. While it manages over 70 artists, most of them have limited fame. Other notable names include Cheng Xiao, Wu Xuanyi, Huang Minghao, and Han Geng, with Huang Minghao reportedly being the most lucrative artist after Wang Yibo.
