LayarHijau – Chinese actor Chang Huasen, previously known for A Journey to Love (一念关山, Yi Nian Guan Shan) and Moonlight Mystique (白月梵星, Bai Yue Fan Xing), is now at the peak of his popularity. Recently, he has been appearing simultaneously in three hit dramas currently airing: Blood River (暗河传, An He Chuan), Sword and Beloved (天地剑心, Tian Di Jian Xin), and Whispers of Fate (水龙吟, Shui Long Yin), playing a range of roles from villain, adorable fox prince, to a cunning strategist. His versatile acting has won widespread praise, dramatically boosting his popularity.

Before finishing the previous projects, Chang Huasen is rumored to star as the lead in the upcoming major costume drama Han Men Gui Zi (寒门贵子, Han Men Gui Zi). Although he previously had a lead role in the smaller drama Dawn Amidst Hidden Clouds, this new project is far more prestigious, marking a key step in his career.

Chang Huasen debuted in 2020 with the teen drama Parallel Love (时间倒数遇见你, Shi Jian Dao Shu Yu Jian Ni), and gained wider recognition after participating in the boy group reality show Youth With You Season 3 on iQiyi the following year. In 2022, his role as “Li Tongguang,” a disciple obsessed with Liu Shishi’s character in A Journey to Love (一念关山, Yi Nian Guan Shan), brought him fame. This year, Chang Huasen enjoys a big year with three costume dramas airing simultaneously. In Blood River (暗河传, An He Chuan), he plays Su Changhe, Gong Jun’s friend-turned-rival due to differing principles, impressing viewers with his morally complex performance and fluid action scenes. In Sword and Beloved (天地剑心, Tian Di Jian Xin), he transforms into Western fox prince “Fan Yunfei,” often turning into a cute dog form due to unstable demonic powers, delighting fans. In Whispers of Fate (水龙吟, Shui Long Yin), he portrays palace master “Wan Yu Yuedan,” a clever and mysterious figure, showing a completely different side of his acting versatility.

Not only busy on-screen, Chang Huasen is also active in new projects. He recently began shooting the modern drama The Vanishing Beauty (美人余, Mei Ren Yu) with Li Yitong as a lawyer, and made a cameo in Dilraba Dilmurat’s new drama Although Cannot Have It All (虽然不能同时拥有一切, Sui Ran Bu Neng Tong Shi Yong You Yi Qie), reportedly playing her wealthy young suitor. Their shared bicycle scenes went viral and charmed fans.

Before those projects wrap, Tencent S+’s costume drama Han Men Gui Zi (寒门贵子, Han Men Gui Zi) has already cast Chang Huasen as the lead male. Adapted from Zong Heng Da Shen Geng Su’s popular novel Chu Chen (楚臣, Chu Chen), the story follows office worker “Han Qian” reincarnated as a powerful court official in ancient times, using modern thinking and scientific knowledge to navigate palace intrigue and face villains, delivering thrilling plot twists.
