LayarHijau – Ju Jingyi, the rising Chinese singer and actress, finds herself back in the headlines as her former agency, Sibba Media (絲芭傳媒), faces backlash after a hairstylist sued them for delayed payment. The case has sparked a flurry of discussions among fans and netizens.
According to reports, the hairstylist was hired by Sibba Media from June 15 to 18, 2024, to accompany Ju Jingyi at several events and provide hairstyling services. However, after completing the work, the hairstylist claims the agency repeatedly delayed payment and ignored requests. The stylist also alleges being blocked from contacting the agency and turned away when attempting to collect payment in person. In February 2025, the hairstylist filed a lawsuit.
Sibba Media argued that no formal service contract was signed and that the hairstylist was personally hired by Ju Jingyi, meaning the payment should have been reimbursed through the artist’s activity expenses. Ju Jingyi stated that she was not aware of the agreement between the hairstylist and the agency, and the case did not involve her directly.
In the end, the court ruled in favor of the hairstylist, ordering Sibba Media to pay 9,000 yuan (approximately USD 1,260) for services and 188.8 yuan (approximately USD 26) for transportation costs.
