LayarHijau – Actor and racing driver Wang Yibo once again proved his skills on the track. In the final of the China GT Championship 2025, held at the Shanghai International Circuit, he drove car No. 85 alongside teammate Pan Junlin and secured third place in the AM class.

According to Luzhong Morning News (via World Journal), this season’s CTCC China Auto Racing Professional Championship showcased greater vehicle diversity and a larger lineup of participants than ever before. Experienced drivers such as Zhang Zhiqiang, Xie Xinzhe (GT), Zhu Dawei, and Sun Zheng joined the race. In addition, star drivers like Wang Yibo, Aarif Lee, and Xu Weizhou helped broaden the sport’s reach and draw more public attention to car racing in China.

For Wang Yibo, this achievement was not his first in professional racing. In October 2024, he made his official car racing debut, partnering with renowned driver Fang Junyu in the GT3 GTSC Series Zhuhai. The pair finished second in the first round and took first place in the second. Later, on March 29, 2025, Wang Yibo and Fang Junyu competed again in the China GT Championship pre-season warm-up race at the Ningbo International Circuit. Despite adverse weather conditions, they managed to secure second place.

Before stepping into car racing, Wang Yibo was active as a motorcycle racer. He joined the Wanlida Yamaha team and competed in the Asian Road Race in Zhuhai, where he took first place in the Group D Rookie Class and second overall in the Mixed Class. One of the most memorable moments for fans was in October 2020, when his No. 85 motorcycle crashed on the final lap of the Zhuhai ZIC Motorcycle Race, sparking heated discussions online.

Beyond racing and his acting career, Wang Yibo is also known for his passion for outdoor and extreme sports. In September last year, he completed a rock climbing project in Yangshuo, Guangxi. Then, in February 2025, he underwent ice climbing training at the Yalong and Renlongba glaciers in Tibet. His dedication to extreme sports has further boosted his popularity among the public.
