LayarHijau – Chinese actor Hu Yitian recently sparked buzz online after joking that he felt “retired,” having not been on set for 673 days. Not long after that comment, a netizen posted on Xiaohongshu claiming to have seen the actor riding a motorbike in a red fast-food uniform, carrying an oversized delivery box. The sight quickly went viral, raising concerns among fans.

In the post, Hu Yitian looked very much like a real food delivery worker. He was seen delivering an order and allegedly dropped the food by accident. Some fans expressed concern, speculating whether he had fallen on hard times financially.

According to a report from World Journal, some eagle-eyed fans noticed Hu taking selfies during the delivery, while staff members were also spotted filming nearby. This led to speculation that he wasn’t actually switching careers but was filming a show. A source familiar with the matter revealed that Hu was filming either a one-day job experience program or a commercial, and the delivery was part of the shoot—not a side job or a sign of career trouble.

Recently, Hu Yitian was also rumored to be cast in a new drama titled Genius Girlfriend (天才女友), where he would once again portray a cold, intelligent male lead—a role that first shot him to fame. Although the production company has yet to confirm the news, the rumor has already excited his fans. If confirmed, the drama is expected to begin filming in August.

Standing at 188 cm tall, Hu Yitian started out as a model before transitioning into acting in 2016 with Rush to the Dead Summer (夏至未至). He rose to stardom in 2017 for his role as the aloof genius Jiang Chen in A Love So Beautiful (致我们单纯的小美好), instantly becoming a heartthrob and gaining a massive fan following.
