4 Fun Facts About Leo in February, the Romantic WeTV Series Starring Ranty Maria and Rayn Wijaya with K-Drama Aesthetics

Following its initial buzz and fan anticipation, the WeTV Original Leo in February continues to draw attention as one of the most visually appealing and relatable local series in early 2024. In a press release received by LayarHijau from WeTV on Sunday (June 8), more behind-the-scenes details were revealed—especially the level of dedication both lead actors poured into their roles.

Here are four newly revealed facts about Leo in February, a light-hearted office romance drama:

1. A Star-Studded Cast

Directed by Asep Kusdinar, the series features a dynamic blend of rising stars and seasoned actors. Alongside Ranty Maria and Rayn Wijaya, the ensemble cast includes Cinta Brian, Vonny Felicia, Irsyadillah, Fadlan Holao, Jinan Safa, Victor Agustino, as well as veteran actors Marcelino Lefrandt, Jonathan Alden, and Lorenzo Gibbs. The project is a collaboration between WeTV Indonesia, Unlimited Production, and Maxima Pictures.

2. Tackling the Sandwich Generation and the Dream of Marrying Rich

The story follows Feby (played by Ranty Maria), a cheerful and hardworking young woman burdened by her family’s financial crisis. As the youngest daughter of a bankrupt household, she sets out on a mission to marry a wealthy man to lift her family out of debt. Her journey begins when she lands a job at Sang Daksa, a prestigious firm filled with eligible, high-earning bachelors. That’s where she meets Leo (Rayn Wijaya), her cold and career-focused new boss.

3. A Love-Hate Relationship That Wasn’t Easy to Portray

Though Ranty and Rayn are a couple in real life and known for their sweet chemistry, things were different on set. In the series, their characters begin on opposite sides of the emotional spectrum—Leo is stoic and no-nonsense, while Feby is bubbly and attention-grabbing.

“The hardest scenes were actually in the beginning when we had to act like we didn’t know each other and pretend to be annoyed. That was more challenging than playing a couple in love,” Ranty said in an interview with WeTV.

4. Full-on Transformation for Their Roles

Both actors went all out to bring authenticity to their roles. Ranty dyed her hair blonde, donned bright and colorful outfits with bows and frills—completely opposite from her usual minimalist style. Rayn, on the other hand, committed to a strict two-month fitness regimen and lost 13 kilograms to embody the charismatic and sharp-looking Leo, who gives off major K-drama vibes.

“It was a challenge I wanted to take. I switched to a high-protein, high-fiber diet, exercised regularly, and even adjusted my sleep schedule,” Rayn shared.

Leo in February airs every Friday and Saturday at 6 PM (WIB) exclusively on WeTV. VIP users can already stream episodes one to three. With its relatable storyline, refreshing romantic tension, and visually stunning production, this series is said to offer a strong K-drama vibe with a local twist.
