LayarHijau – Honkai: Star Rail is preparing to launch its Version 4.2 update, titled “Then, All Beings Laugh Without End,” on April 22, 2026. The update introduces a continuation of the main storyline, new playable characters, and a wide range of in-game events tied to the game’s third anniversary celebration.
The anniversary festivities take center stage in this update, offering players multiple rewards. Through the returning “Celebration Gifts” event, players can obtain up to 20 Warp attempts via daily check-ins. On April 26, 2026—the official anniversary date—players will also be able to select a greeting card from in-game companions and receive 1,600 Stellar Jade.

Additional anniversary perks include the availability of 5★ characters Huohuo and Robin in a special shop, along with a free Golden Companion Spirit that can be exchanged for a chosen character. The first-time top-up double bonus will reset, and new shop items, as well as a costume for Castorice, will be introduced.
On the narrative side, Version 4.2 raises the stakes of the Imaginary Domain competition. The grand prize has been significantly upgraded, with the winner set to become a permanent Aeon of Elation. This escalation intensifies the competition and draws the attention of multiple factions within the game’s universe.
The story unfolds as Fulwish, leader of the Happy Smile Research Association and a powerful media figure, invites participants to Seafeld City. There, a public debate is organized to discuss the future shaped by the Imaginary Domain. However, beneath the surface of this open forum lies a series of hidden schemes and strategic traps that players must navigate.
Two new 5★ characters—Silver Wolf LV.999 and Evanescia—will play key roles in combat. Silver Wolf returns in a new form as an Elation Path Imaginary-type character, equipped with mechanics centered around “Hidden MMR” and a “Godmode Player” state.

At certain thresholds, this mechanic triggers additional attacks from “Master Fox,” dealing damage to all enemies while restoring her energy.
The update also adds Trailblazer Path Elation, equipping the main character with a new weapon called the Light Baton. This weapon can transform into different forms, enabling varied attack patterns while also supporting teammates during battle.
Beyond characters and story, Version 4.2 expands gameplay content with new modes such as “Galactic Signal Exploration,” where players can build a career as an in-game streamer. Existing modes like “Currency War” and “Galaxy Power” will also receive major updates, introducing more diverse gameplay mechanics.
Globally, the anniversary celebration will extend beyond the game itself, with themed events taking place in cities including Tokyo, Seoul, and Los Angeles. These will feature both online and offline activities such as themed tours, street events, and brand collaborations.
HoYoverse also teased an original animation project in collaboration with MAPPA, with its first trailer titled “Death at Noon” set to premiere.
Since its release, Honkai: Star Rail has surpassed 1.5 billion downloads across platforms and earned multiple industry accolades, including iPhone Game of the Year on the App Store, Best Game on Google Play, and Best Mobile Game at The Game Awards.
