LayarHijau.com – Rumors about Yua Mikami potentially appearing in the Taiwanese horror film Love Curse (降) have been circulating widely. Director Keian Chui has responded to these rumors by remaining tight‑lipped, stating that he wants “to preserve the sense of mystery,” giving audiences room to imagine details about his upcoming work.
Love Curse (降) itself is a supernatural horror project inspired by the Southeast Asian legend of Nasi Kangkang (開腳飯). The story centers on supernatural tragedy triggered by emotional obsession and human conflict, wrapped in an atmosphere of mystery and suspense.
The film’s main cast has been confirmed, including Lei Jia Rui in the lead female role, acting alongside Malaysian actor Miko Wong Jie Qi. At this time, Yua Mikami’s involvement remains a rumor and has not been officially confirmed by the production.

Keian Chui also shared his views on Taiwan’s film industry, noting that the market is a key hub within Asian cinema due to its creative environment and production flexibility. He plans to deepen collaborations with Taiwanese film and television professionals in the future. Currently, he is also working on an action film titled Black Ops with Malaysian director Syafiq Yusof, featuring a joint action team from Hong Kong and Taiwan.
The management agency Catwalk, which is involved with this film, continues to expand its production of visual content and dramas across borders, integrating artist management and intellectual property development. This strategic move strengthens their position in the Asian market and opens up further opportunities for international collaboration.
