LayarHijau — Chinese social media platform, Weibo, recently released the prestigious “2025 High-Score C-Drama Ranking.” The business drama Legend Of Magnate (大生意人), starring Chen Xiao and Sun Qian, secured the top spot with a score of 9.3, surpassing other strong competitors.
Interestingly, the top three dramas in the list all achieved the same score of 9.3. Although Legend Of Magnate initially lagged in the ratings competition against the age-gap romance drama, Sniper Butterfly (狙擊蝴蝶)—starring Chen Yanxi and Zhou Keyu—the business drama ultimately prevailed. Legend Of Magnate’s advantage came from its massive production quality, thrilling plot, and support from a high-quality lineup of veteran actors.
In the second position, also with a score of 9.3, is the crime drama Narcotic Operation (掃毒風暴), starring Duan Yihong and Qin Hao. This drama highlights the intense struggle between undercover police and drug smugglers, conveying the central message that crime will never triumph over justice.
Meanwhile, the third spot—also scoring 9.3—is held by the mystery drama Man’s Inhumanity To Man (反人類暴行). Starring Jiang Qilin, Zhang Yu, and Yin Zheng, the drama bravely tackles dark historical themes, focusing on the horrific human experiments conducted by the Japanese Unit 731.
The list also features popular dramas released in the previous year. In the 4th position, with a score of 9.2, is the highly praised detective drama, Strange Tales Of Tang Dynasty 3: To Chang’an (唐朝詭事錄之長安). Starring Yang Zhigang and Yang Xuwen, the drama garnered significant praise due to its mind-challenging mystery storyline, above-average acting quality, and perfect casting choices.
