LayarHijau– Taxi Driver 3, SBS’s hit Friday–Saturday drama, is raising the stakes in its third season with the arrival of a surprising new antagonist. Actress Jang Nara, long known for her warm and upright screen image, is stepping into villain territory for the first time since her debut more than two decades ago.

The production team unveiled a special character poster for Jang Nara on December 15, confirming her role as the fourth major antagonist of Season 3. Her appearance follows a string of memorable villains portrayed by Sho Kasamatsu, Yoon Si-yoon, and Um Mun-suk, further cementing Taxi Driver 3’s reputation for strong and distinctive antagonists.

In the previous episode, Um Mun-suk delivered a chilling performance as Cheon Gwang-jin, a ruthless criminal involved in illegal gambling, match-fixing, and murder. The intense storyline helped Episode 8 reach a peak viewership rating of 15.6 percent, ranking first in its time slot and among all mini-series that week. The drama also topped ratings among viewers aged 20–49, maintaining its momentum as one of SBS’s strongest performers this season.

Jang Nara plays Kang Joo-ri, the CEO of an entertainment agency who rose to prominence after debuting in a girl group. Beneath her polished image as a successful businesswoman lies a dark, twisted side driven by greed and ambition. The role marks a major turning point in Jang Nara’s filmography, as she has never portrayed a full-fledged villain in her 24-year acting career.

The newly released poster highlights this dramatic transformation. While Jang Nara appears elegant and composed, her cold gaze and faint, calculating smile hint at the character’s sinister nature. The unfamiliar aura has sparked curiosity about how she will reinterpret her image and what kind of tension she will bring to her confrontation with Kim Do-gi, played by Lee Je-hoon.

According to the production team, Episodes 9 and 10 will tackle issues such as exploitation, abuse of power, and corruption hidden behind the glamorous success of the K-pop industry. They emphasized that Jang Nara’s casting adds weight to the storyline, noting her reputation as a consistently reliable actress. Her shift from kind-hearted roles to a powerful antagonist is expected to be one of the season’s standout elements.
